Kathryn spoke to a full room last night at the inaugural meeting of The Grove Book Club at Barnes & Noble. She talked about the genesis of Down and Out in Beverly Heels, read an excerpt and led a lively conversation about the reality of the “homeless and hiding it” women who surround us. Other topics covered included writing groups, book clubs, and what the sequel to Down & Out might cover. Club masterminds Lita Weissman (of B&N) and Jackie Plaza (of The Grove) ushered the club in with style, providing lovely platters of sustenance and drink. Thanks to all who came and made it such a lovely evening!
