My new novel, DARK PASSAGES, will be published this summer to coincide with the 45th anniversary of Dark Shadows!

The  2011 Dark Shadows Festival will be held at the New York Marriott Hotel at the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, New York, August 19-21, celebrating 45 years of Dark Shadows.

DARK SHADOWS — The big news is that Johnny Depp will star as Barnabas Collins in a new feature film of Dark Shadows, directed by Tim Burton, with a screenplay by John August and Seth Grahame-Smith. The production is scheduled to commence filming in May at England’s Pinewood Studios.  Principle casting is completed . . . it’s great fun seeing who will play roles we originated in 1966.  Let’s see if any of our original actors will appear in this new film . . . now that would be fun!

Dark Shadows is still very much a part of my life—I’m still preening about TV Guide selecting “Josette duPres” as one of the top ten “sexiest” undead creatures! And thrilled that Publishers Weekly selected the audio version of Dark Shadows Memories for the top ten list.

Look for Rod Labbe’s full interview with me for Fangoria on the About Me page.

THE BUNNY YEARS — In 2010 we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Playboy Bunny, who made her first appearance February 29th, 1960 in Chicago’s Walton Street Playboy Club. I launched the year-long festivities by re-issuing THE BUNNY YEARS . . . now available in Hardcover,  on Kindle and other electronic devices.

Now an NBC pilot, PLAYBOY, is in the works about a “cigarette Bunny in 1963” . . . in The Bunny Years I write about my experiences as a “cigarette Bunny in 1963” . . .hmmmm. Imagine that. The Bunny Years, based on my interviews with more than 250 women  (including Debbie Harry, Lauren Hutton, Susan Sullivan) working as Bunnies during the 25-year history of the clubs, focused on the changing social mores with the advent of Women’s Lib and the Sexual Revolution. The NBC series “explores the nation's changing mores and the coming sexual revolution.” Hmmmm and Hmmmmm. If you want to read about what really happened in the Playboy Clubs, read The Bunny Years!
